BREAKING: Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has denied receiving $2.1m from a businessman for an Abuja land deal, telling an FCT High Court that his signature on a document linking him to the transaction was forged.

Man arrested for r@ping 5-year-old girl in Bayelsa A 29-year old man identified as Ebikeme Seiye from Akede community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has been arrested for r@ping a 5-year-old named, Oyeintari Idonwanbofa. The suspect was apprehended by the Bayelsa State Community Safety Corp Amassoma Cluster on Wednesday, 30th of September 2026 after the victim’s elder cousin brother, Mr Tobokeakpo Selekeme reported the matter. During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he r@ped the minor, claiming he was under the influence of hard drugs (Kolos). The Bayelsa State Community Safety Corp Amassoma Cluster later handed the suspect over to the Amassoma Police Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital.

Lawyer Pleads With Court to Temper Justice With Mercy for 4th Defendant “My Lord, the 4th defendant is a young woman who løst her mother at a very early age. She has had to toil night and day in an effort to become a good woman. I am pleading passionately with this honourable court to temper justice with mercy. We are not saying that she has done well, but we are asking the court to consider her circumstances.” — Lawyer to the 4th Defendant The court has sentenced the 4th defendant, Gift Raphael, to seven years’ imprisonment on Count One. The judge also sentenced her to de@th on Counts Two, Four, Six and Eight, stating that the sentence would be carried out either by hanging or through the administration of a lethal injection. The judge further stated that, if carried out by hanging, she would be hanged by the neck until de@th, before concluding: “May the Lord have mercy on you.”

BREAKING NEWS: Special Court Sentences Four To De@th For Kidn@pping, Cultism And Other Offences In Edo State The Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City has sentenced four persons to death by hanging for kidnapping, membership of a secret cult and other violent crimes. The Special Criminal Court, presided over by Justice Terry Momodu Aigbona, handed down the sentence after a judgment that lasted more than three hours. Justice Aigbona convicted the alleged gang leader, Isaac Marvellous, 32, on all 11 counts and sentenced him accordingly. The court also ordered that the convicts be executed by hanging or lethal injection. The other condemned persons are Wisdom Michael, 36; Rufus Michael, 30; and Gift Raphael, 27. The four were convicted on an 11-count charge bordering on kidnapping, cultism and other violent crimes. The court also handed down various jail terms to other suspects and ordered that firearms recovered from the convicts as exhibits be handed over to the Federal Government. The kidn@pping video 👇
