A new report says the Nigerian Air Force aircraft that crashed in Igbokoda, Ondo State, had 32 people on board: 25 passengers and 7 crew members.
Reports from the area suggest some casualties may have occurred, but the exact number of people killed or injured has not been officially confirmed as search and rescue operations continue.
The pilot reportedly avoided crashing towards the town, potentially preventing a greater tragedy. The aircraft crashed into the swampy area near the Naval Base.
A video has emerged showing the wreckage of the Nigerian Air Force aircraft that crashed in the swampy area of Igbokoda, Ilaje LGA, Ondo State.
32 people, comprising 25 passengers and 7 crew members, were reportedly on board the aircraft.
The wreckage was reportedly badly damaged following the crash, while rescue personnel and military officers have been deployed to the area.
